- Ensure safe access & egress for
working at a height - Full Body Harness must
be worn while working above 2 meters of height - Working at height training for the
people involved. - A safety harness with a double
lanyard will be provided, worn, and hooked while working at the height - Tools shall be secured, and throwing
of tools and other materials will not be allowed. - No work shall be conducted in
adverse weather conditions. - Close supervision must be available
all the time. - 100 % tie-off shall be ensured by
all the personnel while working at height. -
Wind
speed must be monitored and work should stop if adverse weather -
Ensure Personnel not be permitted to climb whilst
carrying tools or heavy loads, the only exception being tools carried in a
waist belt designed specifically for the purpose. Where necessary, tools
shall be hauled up and lowered in a suitable container -
Ensure personnel shall not be assigned to work
directly below the overhead work position of another person. -
100% tie-off shall be ensured where a person
working at height is always connected to an anchor so that they are protected
by their fall-arrest system or work-positioning system while ascending,
descending moving from point to point, or conducting work activity -
Comply with the limited weight when placing some
materials on scaffolding. -
SIMOPS jobs are not allowed. -
Use proper PPE (Helmet, Safety shoes, Coverall,
Safety harness, Safety glass, Hand gloves. -
The Working Platform should be inspected before
use by a certified Scaffolding Inspector. -
All Tools & parts should be secured in a box
with a lanyard. -
The tagline should be connected to all Tools. -
The
ladder is to be inspected before use to ensure it is fit for its purpose. - Three points of contact
are to be maintained when
ascending or descending the ladder. - Heavy tools & equipment is not to be carried up or down the ladder& must be raised or lowered
with the use of a
hand line. - Ladders are not to be utilized as a
work platform and
are for access
to the work area
only.
