-          Obtain PTW before the start of the activity.                                                                                            

-          Conduct toolbox talk

-          Hand tools and equipment are placed at desired locations that do not interfere with the working area.                                                                                             

-          All the staff present shall be trained on safe manual handling techniques.                                                 

-          The activity shall be properly supervised by a competent person.                                                                        

-          The working area shall be barricaded and signposts shall be placed.                                                                               

-          All the mandatory PPEs shall be provided to staff.                                       

-          Watch your steps avoid to slipping & trip

-          Proper access with steps in the excavation area

-          Use a dust mask

-          Arrange a rest area, fresh drinking water, and frequent breaks shall be provided.

-          Ensure trained & experienced technicians are involved in this activity

-           No work shall be allowed at the energized system.                

-          Ensure before starting the work that the system is fully isolated and not energized.  

-          Proper isolation of the system shall be tested before the work.                        

-          Hand tools/gloves used shall be of respected voltage ratings with isolated handles and shall be fit for work.                                                                                     

-          Ensure the grounding was attached to the grounding point

-          Fire extinguishers available at the site

-          Double insulation is to be provided on the cables and proper cable management is to be ensured.

-          Ensure not overloaded power sockets

-          All the work shall be carried on under supervision.                                                                          

-          The area shall be properly barricaded before the start of work and signposts shall be placed.

-          Tools shall be inspected & tagged

Lightening Work

-          Conduct toolbox talks to highlight the hazards associated and controls that are implemented for it.

-          Hand tools and equipment shall be inspected before work and all the damaged tools shall be removed.                                                                         

-          Work at height training shall be provided to staff.              

-          Usage of safety harness shall be ensured and it shall be inspected before work to check for any damage/wear tear or incomplete part.                                                                

-          The platform provided shall have sufficient space present to work freely.                                               

-          The platform shall be properly tied or placed on the surface to avoid any movement.                                                             

-          All the tools and equipment shall be tied or placed securely on the platform to avoid a fall.                                                             

-          The platform shall contain a proper anchoring point or it shall be placed near the area where the anchoring point is present.                                                             

-          The platform shall not be placed on an uneven surface or the base plate or sole plate shall be placed in case it is placed.                                                                          

-          A proper ladder shall be provided for safe access and agreement.                                                                        

-          The working area shall be barricaded with a safety sign                                                          

-          The working platform shall be inspected on routine bases.                                                                                           

-          Usage of mandatory PPEs shall be ensured.                         

-          The working platform shall be placed closer to the working area or within reach of the person working.                                                                                           

-          Industrial Socket shall be used.

-          Proper earthling of DB.

-          In-house training of all the staff on safe manual handling

-          In-house training of all the staff on working at height.

-          Usage of tool lanyard with pulley.

-          The safety harness shall be inspected and tagged (Red/Green) and it shall contain double D-hooks.

-          All electrical connections/ cables/ sockets shall be properly inspected before the execution of work.

-          Surface shall be done even before placing the platform
