-          Material storage is to be identified and staked safely.

-          The transit mixer machine shall be escorted by a banks man in the excavation area during lean concrete.

-          Open pits to be hard barricaded

-          The transit mixer machine shall be parked away from the edge of the excavation

-          Barricaded area

 

 

-          Wear appropriate PPE (Face shield, Gumboot, rubber gloves, glasses, dust musk, etc.

-          All equipment shall be inspected on daily basis.

-          The concrete pump is to be kept at a safe distance from the location while pouring the concrete

-          Full body harness shall be worn above 1.8 M height

-          Follow MSDS of cement for chemical handling, MSDS safety instructions, and a safe system of work

-          The eye was station available at the work site or fresh drinking water for eye wash

-          Under the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) in force workers handling, using, or exposed to dry or wet cement must be educated in hazards and controls

-          Mix dry cement in well-ventilated areas

-          Clothing contaminated by wet cement should be quickly removed.

-          Skin in contact with wet cement should be washed immediately with

-          large amounts of cool clean water

-          Contaminated eyes should be washed with cold tap water for at least 15 minutes before the affected person is taken to the hospital

-          Coveralls with long sleeves and full-length trousers, Waterproof boots high enough to prevent concrete from flowing in when workers must stand in fresh concrete

-          First Aider and first aid medicine kits are available at the site.

-          Safety signs shall be provided
